Proton has just launched the new 2021 Proton X70 Special Edition (SE) via a livestream earlier today. The new 2021 Proton X70 SE is priced at RM 123,800. This price is valid until 31-December 2021.

Limited to just 2,000 units, the new X70 SE will be available in two colours, namely Ruby Red and Ocean Blue, the latter borrowed from the Proton X50.

Further separating itself from the regular Proton X70 are its 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels (lifted off the not-sold-in-Malaysia Geely Boyue Pro), black side mirrors, black spoiler, and a black roof. Completing the exterior is an SE emblem on the tailgate.

Inside, the new 2021 Proton X70 SE gets SE-branded carpet mats and black Nappa leather upholstery. The current Premium and Premium X variants of the X70 get brown Nappa leather seats.

SE-specific changes aside, the rest of the 2021 Proton X70 SE remain unchanged, including its turbocharged 1.8-litre petrol engine that does 184 PS and 300 Nm, hooked up to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Like the regular variants, the new 2021 Proton X70 SE is backed by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, as well as five times free labour servicing.

These prices are valid until 31-December 2021.
