If you are in the market for a small 7-seater vehicle, your options are limited. The Proton Exora is no more, and neither is the Honda BR-V. The all-conquering Perodua Alza has crowded out many alternatives. If you take out the Toyota Veloz, which is essentially a Perodua Alza with a different badge, the Mitsubishi Xpander is the segment’s only other option. Despite being locally assembled in Pekan, the Xpander has a starting price of RM 99,000, which is still RM 4,000 more than the Rawang-made

It’s been a while since the Kia Sorento made headlines in Malaysia, but it’s time to give this underappreciated gem another look. Yes, the price is steep – at RM 255k for the range-topping 2.2D AWD variant, many would dismiss it outright. After all, the Mazda CX-8 tops out at RM 220k for the 2.5T AWD. Being a Kia, the Sorento faces the age-old hurdle of perception. For that price, buyers expect a badge with more “premium” cachet. Even I, as much as I admire the Sorento’s capabilities, can empath

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently published documents and photos revealing the new 2025 BYD Dolphin facelift. Based on the images, it seems the new Dolphin will gain a minor visual redesign with a new, tweaked front bumper design. The changes are not that obvious unless you place both the facelift and pre-facelift Dolphins side by side. Meanwhile, the side profile doesn’t reveal many changes as the facelift seems to retain the slashes and semi-flushed door handles.

Once the most vibrant car market in Southeast Asia, Thailand’s new car market today is just a shadow of its former self. Malaysia is now the second largest car market in the region, after Indonesia. As of September 2024, Indonesia sold 633,218 cars this year, while Malaysia sold 594,037 units, Thailand achieving just 438,303 units. To be clear, the entire Southeast Asia’s car industry is facing great difficulties. The figures for Indonesia were down 16.2 percent from the same nine-month period l
