A sports sedan from Suzuki? Well, yes. Revealed in 2009, the Kizashi’s exterior design was a big step forward for Suzuki, with its handsome, flowing front fascia and the twin lower intakes. From the side, the Kizashi gave a premium impression, having an athletic stance and flared fenders. At the back, along with the sculpted taillights, the Kizashi had chrome outlets, and even if they were fake, they added to the overall sporty look. The sedan was driven by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder power plant borrowed from the Grand Vitara, an engine that developed 185 hp and 170 lb.-ft of torque. The engine was mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. An all-wheel-drive system was also available with the Kizashi and only mated with the CVT transmission. On the 0-100 sprint, the Kizashi managed to get 8.3 seconds - not a pure sports sedan though, so that was a decent time. While the Kizashi offered good stability, it showed a little body roll and understeering on more demanding roads at higher speeds. Inside the Kizashi was a sculpted soft touch dashboard, accompanied by comfortable leather wrapped seats as optional.
