The Hyundai Creta is due to be launched later this year, as hinted in the teaser video posted on Hyundai Malaysia’s Facebook page. The Hyundai Creta shares the same platform as the Kia Seltos, making it a B-segment SUV that goes against the likes of the Proton X50 and Honda HR-V. Powertrain option will likely be the naturally-aspirated, all-aluminium Smartstream 1.5-litre petrol engine making 115 PS/144 Nm, paired to a CVT that Hyundai calls the iVT. The Hyundai Creta has been a major success in Indonesia where it became Hyundai’s best-selling car in 2022 so far. It also achieved a full 5-star rating according to ASEAN NCAP’s latest report. The Creta is Hyundai's sixth model to be assessed by ASEAN NCAP but its first SUV tested by the safety organisation. Fresh off its Thai launch last week, the new 2022 Hyundai Creta makes its public debut at the ongoing 2022 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). The B-segment SUV is imported from Indonesia (CBU) but unlike the archipelago’s 4 variants, the Kingdom only gets 2 variants, SE and SEL. Both variants are powered by a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit making 115 PS/144 Nm that is paired to a CVT automatic which Hyundai dubs IVT. Power is sent to the front wheels. The Creta is positioned bel
