Just bought a Hyundai Creta for my wife… went through almost all the available options and her primary requirement was an Automatic Gearbox, Rear Camera and a Bright color. We checked Brezza (disappointing in terms of power and no auto), Ecosport (no Rear Camera, looked smaller but very close second preference), Honda WRV (No auto), Honda BRV (its a mini van not SUV), Toyota Fortuner (too expensive for a compact SUV), our Tata Hexa (Too big for her), Mahindra XUV/TUV (too noisy, very hard ride, not for ladies), Renault Duster (looked n felt cheap quality stuff), Jeep Compass ( Close 3rd but expensive for the class). Not to mention the BMW X3, Merc (GLE/GLA), Audi Q3/Q5, Range Rover, etc. (we did not want to spend that much on a part time car). Hyundai Creta offered a balance of nice aesthetics, Good interiors, Some nice features like Turn assist headlights, Turn Nav warning, etc. with a smooth automatic transmission, comfortable ride, Good boot space and a very light steering, rear cam, park assist, etc. etc. As per the milegae, we are getting about 450 Km with a full tank which is costing about Rs. 3,500 of high speed petrol. Costed us about 19Lacs with extra accessories like Leather Seats, Front n Rear bumper skids, Roof Wrapping in 3M black etc. Overall, happy with the car and she is loving it. edit 1: while I appreciate the comments… few people are purely commenting from a price point as if I based my answer on it or if the price of the car was my only criteria. Please read the answer carefully, and you May keep your money attitude with you. Edit 2: The original answer is about 3 years old when we did not have Kia or MG or other newer models like Harrier, etc. Those days I was really disappointed with the options that were available. Today, it is a different scenario as lot of new brands/models have come up and while Creta remains a very compelling Compact SUV, it may not be the best for first choice even for me.
No, never it was before and not now. I dnt see it will be in near future too. The reason is simple.. Honda failed to understand Indian consumers mind ( that is very complex but smart). Honda considered the Indian consumers as low grade and below average( which is wrong) and hence tried to exploit them to make money. They were successful initially but failed completely and they are in a position today that would take them no where but pack up to back home one day. This is written on the wall because the company is running today with only one product- City and trying to exploit existing customer on service ( way of making money). Honda never launched a new product in India with their Global Launch.. Honda never provided the same product( all features/ equipements) to Indian consumers, rather trimmed down completely but maintained the price tag same / more than other market. Honda exploits existing customers on service and charges huge to make the money. Honda reduced the quality of the cars ( uses low quality sheet metal, plastics, color, tyres and other accessories to reduce the cost) for Indian market thinking Indian consumer doesnot bother about it. The safety standards are well below than their products in different market. All the Honda models - except City has failed measurably. CRV- in Three figure, Accord- in three figure, New Civic- two figure, BRV- in three figure, Brio- in two figure, Amaze- in three figure — yearly sale. Still you will find those arrogance from Honda management - keep exploiting Indian customer with old and low quality products…
Looking at price.. brv similarly spec is around 2.5 lakh more expensive than brezza,!! So does the comparison end here??….no it starts from here…lets see how do they stack up!! brv is a magnificent car and a wholesome package for anyone… the high ground clearance of about 200 mm is sufficient to take any roads in Indian conditions and the great driving dynamics also will enlighten any youth or driving enthusiast! with the seven seat arrangement it becomes family car too.. and if you don't need the 2 extra seats you can fold to get a massive 500–600 litres of boot. And with all seats up.. u can get a healthy 250 litre boot! coming onto brezza , it is a five seater car measuring under 4m hence less space compared to brv. It also has a small 1.3 litre tried and tested diesel engine and a 350 litre boot. Brezza comes with a classical SUV styling. under 4 metre measurement of brezza will give you tax incentives ,and will be easy to maneuver in city and you will also get a parking space easily ,.. on the other side ,brv, measures around 4.5 metres… but it's driving dynamics and steering will not let you get tired of driving this big car. Brv, being a big car will obviously offer less mileage than brezza..but the punch and driveability of this Honda housed petrol/diesel engine will definitely put up a smile on your face…hence you will clearly forget that 1–2 kmpl of less mileage!! The brv diesel under the hood is a bit noisy but, ,the cabin is superbly insulated!! Coming on to ,service,.. Here brezza walks of smoothly with the credits as it is a car from the stable of MARUTI SUZUKI!! BRV is a bit expensive to maintain..I.e having the HONDA GENES! Also brv similarly spec is around 2.5 lakh more expensive than brezza!! SO ATLAST IF U WANT A BEST PACKAGE and can spare a few bucks for that then it is HONDA BRV that stands out as a clear winner.. with its premium interior , superior build quality and fit and finish.. so it is this place where those extra money will be definitely worth putting !! but if u don't want to spare that extra then u can compromise with vitara brezza! For more information and queries related to cars and buying tips u can drop a message!! Hope u will definitely ,UPVOTE, . Thanks! Edit** For those who think that Honda brv doesn't have touchscreen infotainment whereas brezza has…. so for ur info. Brezza only offers touchscreen on top spec optional model.. whereas ,HONDA GIVES US THE FLEXIBILITY TO INSTALL TOUCHSCREEN FROM HONDA DEALERS AS ACCESSORIES costing around an extra 30k or less.. and WITHOUT LOOSING YOUR WARRANTY, !!
I would suggest Go for Creta. I have recently purchased Hyundai Creta 1.4 E Plus Diesel version ( Black ). If someone is looking for below features: Suv looks Seating comfortability (5 ) performance is very good ( AC, Pickup, Breaking, Suspensions ) Can go for modifications with extra accessories outside the market at lower prices. But I would suggest go for electronic accessories from Showroom to avoid any warranty, wire cutting issues. Easily you can modify basic version to high end version depends on individual interest/ budget . Best of all cars ( Brezza, XUV 300, Scross, Honda BRV ) 7. All the best.
I own a Honda Brv for past three and half years and the battery functions as it did on the first day. I think the way we use the battery has a lot of bearing on its life. I would suggest to switch off all non essential accessories like fog lights, cooling box, etc when not required as they draw lot of power of battery. I switch of my headlights while waiting for green light at crossings. Similarly running ac for long periods while idling depletes the battery fast. Lastly you should get it checked if the charging is taking place correctly.
