Hey @volkswagenindia I have buy two Vento cars before 1.5 year and we faced battery problems in both the car. Totally dissatisfied with Volkswagen Vento car. Your rajkot showroom simply answered we have only 1 year battery warranty !!
The new Volkswagen Vento launching is today. Check it out at the Volkswagen showroom in Beribi.
Okey, you are now in the same place as all the rest of the professionals who wish to buy a high end C-Segment Sedan, but are confused regarding what to go for. Considering your options. Maruti, ,Ciaz,. This is the cheapest car in the segment and for a good reason. The build quality is not that great. The car, on the whole feels a bit flimsy. Not a great bet, when going for a sedan. But, as we all know, the maintainance is relatively cheap. The spares too are almost readily available meaning, your car spends less time at the workshop. The engine too, is not that great. At 91bhp and 130NM torque, you could say that, the engine is underpowered. And 10L (ZXi+ AT) (Ex-Showroom), trust me, you don’t want this car. Hyundai Verna 4S This comes with a 1.6lt VTVT Engine which produces 121bhp and 155NM Torque. Not bad huh ? The car looks better, but as they say, looks are subjective to taste. Comes with all the creature comforts. The maintainance is a little bit on the high side, but you wouldn't mind that because it’s simply more car than the Ciaz. Costs slightly more the Ciaz at 10.6L (VTVT 1.6 AT) (Ex-Showroom). This car isn’t a bad bet, especially if you enjoy driving. Volkswagen Vento TSi Now, coming from the most prestigious German Automaker, the build quality speaks for itself. It’s easily the best in class. It reeks of perfection. This is the only car in the class with both Rake and Reach adjustable steering rack. The transmission (7-Speed DSG) is the best in the world. (Not Exaggerating). The car feels more premium than the price tag suggests. The ride is a bit on the stiffer side, but not that stiff, that it makes you feel uncomfortable. Has all the creature comforts. As it is common knowledge, all the VW’s are high maintainance. Priced at 11.3L making this the most expensive of the class, but trust me. This is worth the extra money. But, don't take my word for it, take a test drive and find out for yourself. But if you feel the VW is a bit expensive, you can go for the Verna 4S. I strongly recommend against the Maruti Ciaz among these cars. Don’t get me wrong, Ciaz is a great car, but just pales in comparison to these two. Hope this helps.
There are lot of options available in market. My picks are 1. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz A top end business class sedan from Maruti Suzuki. Superb mileage and good features. You can take a test drive at all maruti showrooms. 2. Volkswagen Vento Good top end sedan from Volkswagen, cheap as compared to city nd Verna. Comes with automatic versio. 3. Skoda Rapid Same chasis as vento with little interior and plastic changes. You can have a look.
Considering your price bracket both in terms of ex showroom and on road prices in India, you have a great amount of choice. This particular price range now has a whole lot of choices like hatchbacks, notchbacks, sedans, compact SUVs, MUVs and even SUVs. If you're looking for a hatchback or a notchback, you might want to look at these Honda Jazz. Volkswagen Polo and Ameo. Hyundai I20 Elite and Active. Ford Figo and Aspire Sports trim. Maruti Suzuki Baleno top trim levels. Toyota Etios Liva and Cross. Fiat Punto and Avventura. If you're looking at purchasing a sedan, your choices are Honda City. Toyota Etios Platinum. Fiat Linea. Nissan Sunny/ Renault Scala. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Hyundai Verna. Volkswagen Vento. Skoda Rapid.
The Glass cost is less than 1k if you are getting fixed from VW showroom then you will be charged more considering the service cost & taxes. Fix it from outside market since it is a cosmetic change it won’t void any warranty.
Hi! As per the figures you might have understood that Rapid is selling in very high numbers Nov-Dec and Mar- April period only. Coming to the point of more selling in numbers, I have worked with Volkswagen so I think I am eligible to answer this question through my understandings. Ofcourse Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid are same platform cars. And as you mention it VW is a Big Brand than Skoda we all agree. If you visit both the showrooms, you will find some major differences. I don't want to mention deeply. In short Skoda's product line up starts from Rapid only. And the other way VW Vento is the 3rd in Volkswagen line up. It means that Volkswagen is working on Polo and Ameo very aggressively to gain the market. As, I hope you may know Vento always will be on waiting period and it's having couple of more variants compare to Rapid. The other major reason I feel is, Skoda offers discounts bluntly on Rapid. Now, Volkswagen doesn't. It does but in a limited numbers. The customers might thinks that we are getting same engines, same technology, almost same brand image at less price. So… I hope you can understand next. Before I conclude, Let me clear you one more thing. I love Skoda Rapid more than VW Vento. :)
Two of my doctor cousins bought the Honda City going against my recommendation!Well,I still take their free counsel if I’ve a bad throat. Some relief, they went for the petrol engines. Hindsight,I feel they took the right call. Both of them are independent working women, daily commute is at best ten kilometers. And they have no racing aspirations. It all boils down to your requirement.Honda City is the car,if you need something reliable, offers decent driving experience and a design which is more universal in it’s appeal. +Good residual value. +Comfortable rear seats. +And a sun-roof which you are never going to use. My requirements are a little different and I am still hesitant to remove my boy-racer cap.The Vento offers me that fun quotient in the drive, feels sturdier and I love hitting the open highways with fervour. Guess,I am heading to the not-so-close by Volkswagen Showroom to sign the cheque. Wish I could afford one!
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz (Smart Hybrid) Vitara Brezza Polo GT Honda City Ford EcoSport Volkswagen Vento Baleno RS
Get Volkswagen Vento Automatic. Drive all other cars in this range and then drive this tank. Feel the doors close with a thud and you feel safe. Drive is smooth and amazing control even at top speeds of over 180+ kmph. Service once a year after 15k kms. Have owned one since last 4 years and I can vouch for its safety, ageless design, comfort and driveability anyday.
At this price point you will get few mid size sedan and compact SUVs. Sedans: 1.Honda City 2.Hyundai Verna 3.Suzuki Ciaz 4. Volkswagen Vento 5. Skoda Rapid SUVs Hyundai Creta Maruti Suzuki Brezza Renault Captur Ford Ecosport Honda WR-V Renault Duster Nissan TerranoTerrain Suzuki S-Cross (It's a crossover but you can still consider)
I'm considering that you will go for top end or mid variants. I have created this list keeping in mind the On-Road price and not the Ex-Showroom prices. All the below mentioned cars will cost you around 10 Lacs. Ford EcoSport Hyundai Elite i20 Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS Ford Figo Aspire Skoda Rapid Volkswagen Vento
