Leaked invitation card hints at possible all-new 2022 Lexus NX world debut date

A couple of weeks back, we saw leaked photos of the next-generation, all-new 2022 Lexus NX. Now, it seems that its launch date has also been leaked. The leaked card is rather cryptic - it doesn't share much beyond the dates 26- and 27-March 2021, 8 pm. So far, no other models from Lexus have been leaked, further lending credence that it may very well be the NX300's unveiling. And for you curious cats out there, yes, the link in the picture works. It brings you to their YouTube page called 'Onlin

Lexus trademarks new name, next car to be RZ450e?

We heard through the grapevine that Lexus has registered the name RZ450e in the USA, Europe, and Australia. This suggested that Lexus has both a new model coming soon and a possible new powertrain. Now that we have a name, we can start speculating on what it can tell us. The Z is a hint that this will be a whole new model of its own. We glanced through Lexus’ history book and noted that the brand has never used the letter Z on any models that have come before. We can’t help but wonder if this co

Proton V70 name trademarked – new Proton MPV for 2021?

Both the Proton X70 and Proton X50 have steered the domestic car maker to a fresh and new direction. Proton has actually registered a few interesting model names back in 2018, and one of them is the Proton V70 name. If the “X” letter has been used to name crossover models, the “V” letter might just be used to name MPV or van-like models. Proton has told its investment partners that a new Geely-based model is due for 2021. The model of the car is yet to be confirmed. However, if we look at Geely’

Behold the Bodo Chronus, legit the car's name is Bodo

This tiny Perodua Axia size/ Proton Iriz lookalike car is an electric vehicle (EV) made by a company from China named Bodo. It has a top speed of 69 km/h and it is trying to establish itself in Europe. Jokes aside, Bodo is read in Chinese as “bao dao” that directly translates into “precious island”. The full name of the company is Wuxi Bodo Electric Vehicle Inc. So, no, the company is not trying to name themselves “bodoh” in an effort to humour us. Like the previously viral Mini lookalike, Mine

Its name is not Supra, but Toyota GR Supra – What GR means for TRD?

The Toyota GR Supra is now here, priced from RM 568,000. Any discussion about the Toyota GR Supra will inevitably be overshadowed by debates about whether this BMW-Toyota jointly developed model can be a true successor to carry the legendary Supra nameplate, which is a shame because it takes the attention away from something that’s very important to anyone who cares about the brand that makes the Toyota GR Supra. The latest A90 generation Supra isn’t called the Toyota Supra but Toyota GR Supra.

Apart from RWD layout, is Toyota ditching the Avanza name for next-gen?

The Toyota Avanza is a very well-known nameplate having been Indonesia’s best-selling vehicle for quite some time. However, with the next-generation due to be launched in 2022, not only will the next-gen Avanza be getting a front-wheel drive layout and possibly hybrid tech, but it might not even be called an Avanza either. In-car dashcam, don't drive without one and here's what you need to know

As cars get more and more feature packed, another equipment that has found into several new models is a digital video recorder (DVR), also known as a dashcam. Having video evidence from a dashcam will save from unnecessary “he said, she said” disputes arising from an accident. Many cars these days offer a built-in front-facing dashcam while some manufacturers like Toyota will even offer a rear-facing camera for an additional RM 350, which is a small price to pay for better peace-of-mind.
