Spied: Chery Tiggo 4 Pro spotted again in Malaysia, first RHD market?

The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is a far cry from the second-gen Toyota RAV4 clone of the original Tiggo but the brand’s presence in Malaysia has been fairly quiet for some time. Until recent weeks that is, and following our earlier spyshot, here’s another one spotted in Kuala Lumpur. Based on the trade plates, it appears that this might be the same Tiggo 4 Pro that we reported before. The camouflaged SUV certainly looks compact but it is actually slightly bigger than the Proton X50. Dimensions Model Cher

Spyshot: Chery Tiggo 5x dikesan lagi di Malaysia. Pasaran RHD pertama?

Dime

Spied: Chery Tiggo 4 Pro spotted in Malaysia, another Chinese X50 rival arriving here?

Well, looks like we might be seeing another Chinese brand making its way back into Malaysia. The camouflaged SUV you see here is very likely a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, doing its testing rounds in Malaysia. Also read: Spied: GAC's Trumpchi GS3 Power spotted in Malaysia - new X50 rival coming soon? According to the user who posted this in a Facebook group, this SUV was spotted in Puchong. Spied: Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in Malaysia, clearer front view of X50 rival!

Earlier this week, we published a spyshot of a camouflaged Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in Kuala Lumpur, but that was the rear. This time around, we have a clearer view of the front courtesy of our friends at Behind the Wheel. The WapCar editorial team had a field day in guessing what the SUV was under all that camo. Some models suggested were the Volkswagen T-Roc, the Borgward BX3 (remember them?), the Trumpchi GS3, and even the Kia Sonet but it turned out to be the Tiggo 4 Pro all along. The overall desi

Top Rank: What are the worst-selling cars in Malaysia?

Finding the perfect car is the motto here at WapCar but "perfect" can be pretty subjective. After all, sometimes you want a car that fits your personality. Instead of going for the safe option, you would choose an alternative for wanting to stand out. For example, choosing a Kia Picanto over a Perodua Axia, a Citroen C3 Aircross over a Perodua Myvi, a Renault Koleos over a Honda CR-V, or even a Toyota RAV4 over a BMW X1. Wait, that last one is more on price than sharing the same segment but you

An EV with a fake manual transmission? It’s real! But… why?

China car brand Chery actually invented an electric vehicle (EV) that behaves like a manual car with shift points and it even stalls. It also adds a tachometer, clutch pedal, and a five-speed shifter. But why on earth did Chery invent an EV like this? The EV in question is known as a Chery New Energy eQ2 Driving School Version. Yes, the EV is invented to eliminate emissions from driving school vehicles. Even in Malaysia, a country with a population number that barely scratches the surface of Chi

The problem of motorists riding/driving against traffic is not unique to Malaysia, although your Facebook feeds will give you that it’s a growing problem confined only to Malaysia. Our Ativa’s rattling sound is fixed! What was the problem? - Long-term review #6

It has been about two weeks of ownership with our Perodua Ativa. How have things been? Well, the rattling sound we mentioned previously had gotten really annoying. Every time we drove over abrupt irregularities on the right side, the sound became more and more apparent. We needed to take the Ativa to Sepang on Tuesday to check out some Malaysian-made electric car, so we held off going to the service centre until Wednesday. About two weeks of driving with that sound, we finally checked in at the

3-cylinder engine vibration, noise, and reliability: Still a problem?

In the recent years, we have welcomed some new three-cylinder engine cars to the world – the Nissan Almera 1.0 turbo, Honda City 1.0 turbo (Thailand), Proton X50, and more excitingly, the Toyota GR Yaris. Even Christian von Koenigsegg has channelled his genius into developing a 600 HP three-cylinder engine. With these developments however, some of us still remain very sceptical of them. We will never forget the underpowered three pots in tiny cars like the Perodua Kancil and Perodua Kelisa. Sure

The one problem with the G20 BMW 3 Series that BMW needs to fix

There is no doubt that about the BMW’s superior dynamics, which is far ahead of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4. We absolutely love the way it drives and sounds, even in the four-cylinder 330i. In terms of evolution of character, the G20 BMW 3 Series is closer to the more driver-focused E90 3 Series than the previous F30 model, which closer to the comfort-biased E46 than the sharper handling E90. The G20 BMW 3 Series is more spacious than the E90, without losing any of the excellent dr

It is no surprise that when it comes to preserving heritage models, Nissan comes up on top, as the Yokohama-based company has already introduced its Heritage Parts Program parked under the Nismo umbrella. Someone double parked and blocked you? No problem

All it took was 7 minutes and a group of Malaysians to lift a Toyota Wish that double parked and blocked a Perodua Myvi from coming out of its parking space. Amazingly, the group of men found lifts to lift the Toyota Wish and repositioned the MPV, allowing the Myvi to exit. Watch the full video here.

The problem we have with the new 2020 Perodua Bezza

With A.S.A 2.0 made available on the top spec and VSC now standard for the Premium X, the new facelifted Perodua Bezza sounds like it has received the smartest updates. But one thing that Perodua didn’t see fit to bring to the board is an adjustable steering wheel. Yes, the Perodua Bezza still continues on in this cycle without a tilt adjustable steering wheel. The Internet is a wonderful place for rumour mills (remember the hullabaloo surrounding the Proton X50?) All one needs is to put in a photo, and boom, people will start talking about it. Warning lights on your car, what do they mean?

How many of you are aware of the warning lights on your car's meter cluster? You're not alone if you don't have a slightest clue at all. Unsurprisingly, some of us choose to ignore the warning lights entirely until the car eventually breaks down, and by the time that happens, it is a little too late to cry. While some warning lights may seem unimportant, it’s good to know what they mean and how to react next. Usually, warning lights illuminate whenever there is a problem with one or more of your
