UMW Toyota announces recall for 2017-19 Toyota Avanza, 3,923 units affected

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has just announced a recall campaign on Toyota Avanza models manufactured from October 2017 to June 2019. This recall campaign, which UMWT calls a Special Service Campaign (SSC) affects 3,923 units of the Avanza. The recall is an extension of a previous announcement affecting the vehicle’s fuel pump. MAA: 2020 annual new car sales to be down by 34 percent

The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has revised its forecast for 2020’s total industry volume (TIV), the industry term for total new car sales, from 607,000 units to 400,000 units due to the on-going MCO.
