Always good ride and handling from the Proton family. I think it is the best in the segment.
Cons
Loud noise, louder when speeds become faster. It would somehow cause distraction when driving.
Space
I have tested myself that the Proton Iriz
is definitely spacious! I called three friends to sit in the rear seat and
there are still room for a tennis ball between each other. But when it comes to
boot space, it is not very spacious. But the rear seats can be folded so I can
still put some large stuffs inside.
Power
I can obviously feel some delays in power
delivery. Generally, not quite satisfying as for its power.
Ride & Handling
Iriz is quick to respond around corners and
prompt to handle around tight spaces. I think it is very good for a hatchback.
And the dimensions make Iriz easy to park in the city.
Fuel Economy
Not very acceptable for a hatchback, my
Iriz has returned the fuel consumption around 8.3-litre / 100 km. I believe my
driving habit would not cause too much extra fuel loss.
Comfort
Well, I think is quite comfortable for
driver because it provides the Macpherson Struts up front and Torsion Beams at
the rear. And passenger seats are also comfortable. However, the noise is a bit
loud when at high speed, which would be annoying.
Exterior
I think my Iriz is pretty attractive! Looks
pretty cool with a modern front grill with a chrome line running across it.
Interior
Iriz offers me pretty good storage room
inside, including cup holders, which is very convenient. However, the quality
of dashboard is quite rough because it is plastic.
