The Toyota Alphard and Vellfire have been Malaysian’s go-to MPV for many years but you’d be a fool to not consider the fourth-generation 2022 Kia Carnival.

If you’re not brand conscious and you’re looking for a family MPV, the 2022 CKD Kia Carnival is an MPV to consider.

Here’s a quick recap on the specs of the 2022 CKD Kia Carnival and its pricing:

Yes, it is priced similarly as a reconditioned Toyota MPV (Alphard / Vellfire) but then again, you’re getting a 5-year / 100,000 km manufacturer warranty from Kia. Of course, that is to be expected of a new car but Kia also offers a 5-year / 100,000 km free scheduled maintenance package. Getting a new Toyota Vellfire would set you back RM 382,300 without SST while a new Toyota Alphard would set you back RM 464,000 without SST but with this higher price tag, you don’t get free scheduled maintenance from Toyota.

With that being said, the Kia Carnival really does give its competitors a run for its money.

The Carnival comes with a few colour options, which includes Astra Blue, Sonic Silver, Jet Black, Snowflake White Pearl and Meteor Gray.
