Indonesia is the world's first market to debut the 2024 Toyota Hilux facelift, with the latest updates focusing on both the exterior and interior. Most notably, prices haven't gone up for the lower E & G variants, but it's crept up a bit for the top-spec V. Here's how they stack up today:
2024 Toyota Hilux double cab price in ID | |
---|---|
Variant | Price |
2.4 E | IDR 442.2 mil (~RM 133k) |
2.4 G | IDR 475.6 mil (~RM 143k) |
2.4 V | IDR 526.55 mil (up from IDR 525.1 mil) (~RM 158k, up from ~RM 157k) |
This series of updates aim to refresh Indonesia's favourite pick-up, in which 16,976 units were sold in 2023, netting it a 67.7% share of the market. As a whole, Toyota's commercial vehicle share in the archipelago has grown too โ with over 25,300 units sold last year, that's a 10.6% share of the market.
What's new in the 2024 Hilux FL?
Exterior changes come in the form of a new, trapezoidal front grille design that comes with a new honeycomb mesh.

A set of redesigned head- and foglamps, as well as an aggressive front bumper with a new underguard are the other switch-ups.
Transitioning to the interior, the G and V variants now come equipped with a defogger for the rear window. The audio system in the E variant maintains its fundamental features, while the G variant is upgraded to Premium Audio, and the V variant is outfitted with a 7-inch AVX featuring mirroring capabilities.

Additionally, the V variant is enhanced with supplementary clearance sensors in both the front and rear, easing the process of parking maneuvers.
Driving quality has been a focal point, with a suspension system reset to balance comfort and steering response. Damping rates have been revised, while there's an update to the leaf spring arrangement that's said to provide better comfort on uneven terrains and increase stability during lane changes and such.
No hybrid system just yet โ perhaps at a later time? โ so the 2GD-FTV 2.4-litre turbodiesel continues its duty here, pushing out 147 PS and 400 Nm of torque. E & G variants have a 5-speed manual, while the 6-speed auto is what the range-topping V-variant carries over.
In Malaysia, our Hilux is still the pre-facelift variant. Prices range from RM 104k to RM 170k.
