Three years since it first made its local debut, over 28,700 units of the Honda City Hatchback has been sold in Malaysia, cementing its place as among the best-selling models the company has in its line-up.

The City Hatchback was one of Honda Malaysia's top-performers last year, contributing 13% of the company's overall sales. It was bested by the City sedan and HR-V, at 30% and 25% respectively.

A natural rival to the Toyota Yaris, the City Hatchback facelift was launched earlier today, made available in five variants – S, E, V, RS petrol and the RS e:HEV hybrid. The update sees it gain a new look inside and out, as well as additional features in its Honda Sensing ADAS and infotainment system.

In fact, the improved model now boasts Honda Sensing ADAS as standard across the range, just like the City sedan and the rest of the models within the brand's local stable.

Prices for the City Hatchback facelift in Malaysia are as follows:

• 1.5 S – RM 85,900
• 1.5 E – RM 90,900
• 1.5 V – RM 95,900
• 1.5 RS Petrol – RM 100,900
• 1.5 RS e:HEV – RM 112,900

Following this launch, Honda Malaysia announced its sales results for Q1 2024, as well as another model to be introduced in Malaysia later this year.
