This may very well be the world's first look at the upcoming hydrogen fuel-cell (FCEV) powered 2024 Honda CR-V, with its inaugural sighting taking place in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan.
Though its official name hasn't quite been confirmed just yet, these spyshots by X user TW MC shows the car with more than a passing likeness with the CR-V: the rear-end is practically the same (save for the clear taillamps), and the front is similar, barring the different bumper.
All signs β including the Hydrogen writ proudly on its sides β point at this to be the FCEV CR-V slated for launch sometime in 2024, with the initial markets being North America and Japan.
Powertrain details are yet to be announced, but this is the car that should be debuting the General Motors and Honda jointly-developed plug-in fuel-cell technology. .
Honda says this new zero-emissions vehicle will contribute to its goal of making battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and FCEVs represent 100% of its global auto sales by 2040.
