Urban mobility. This is something every major city in the world has to deal with today, along with carmakers. Traffic in urban areas is so congested that driving is a major chore.

You see this in Japan as well, where kei cars are popular due to their compact size and easy mobility in urban areas. 

It was with the kei car thinking and philosophy that almost 40 years ago, Honda came up with a brilliant solution for urban mobility: packaging a small foldable scooter together with a subcompact hatchback.

With that, the first-generation Honda City and Honda Motocompo combo were born. Technically, the Honda City wasn't a kei car, but boy was it a brilliant solution for urban mobility - it displayed Honda's packaging genius early on. 

There was even a hotter version of this first-generation Honda City, the Honda City Turbo II packing 110 PS and 160 Nm in a car weighing less than 800 kg. And yes, it can be had with a Honda Motocompo scooter as well!
