Most, if not all automotive centres will be closed entirely starting 18-March until 31-March, following the government’s order to control movement. The order will see all business premises to close except for supermarkets, sundry goods stores, markets and other places selling daily necessities. For those of you who made a service appointment, do reschedule to another date in April. At the moment, the management of many leading automotive companies are still deliberating on the specifics of the i

The launch of Perodua’s upcoming compact SUV - the yet to be named Perodua D55L – has been postponed to March 2021, another victim of the Covid-19 debacle. The B-segment Perodua D55L (some insist that it’s an A, not entirely wrong, it sits in between traditional segments) was originally planned to be launched in January 2021, just in time to catch the Chinese New Year car buying season. Of course, Covid-19 and the associated CMCO have caused a fair bit of disruption. Production is supposed to be

The Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is due to launch in Thailand in March 2021. Headlight Magazine reports that the pure electric Volvo XC40 will be imported (CBU) from China.

The current-gen Nissan X-Trail has been around Malaysia since 2015 with the facelifted model launched in 2019. While we have previously predicted that the new T33 X-Trail might arrive here in 2022, Thailand could get it earlier. Much earlier. Our friends at Autofun has discovered that the current T32 X-Trail has been removed from Nissan Thailand’s website. The site only shows 2 SUV models on offer, the Kicks e-Power and Terra. A source told Autofun that following a huge discount campaign on the

The brand-new 2020 Nissan Kicks e-Power will kick off sales in Nissan’s home country of Japan from June 30th onwards. The new compact SUV will be exported to Japan from Thailand. The new Nissan Kicks made its global debut in Thailand just last month. Its arrival in Thailand marked the first time Nissan’s e-Power hybrid electric drive powertrain was sold outside of Japan. A couple of weeks ago, a mysterious SUV was seen roaming the streets of Japan. The presence of what looks like Honda’s LaneWatch camera and hidden door handles led many to believe that this could be the next-generation Honda HR-V. According to reports from Japan, Honda could be introducing the all-new HR-V in Japan as soon as March 2021 – roughly 7 years since the current RU-generation model went on sale. Powertrain details are hazy, though it’s almost certain that Honda will stuff its sophistic

A few days ago, Nissan introduced the all-new 2021 Nissan X-Trail. The Nissan X-Trail is sold as the Nissan Rogue in North America. Let’s take a closer look at the differences. Exterior – More macho than before Unlike the suave lines of the T32-generation X-Trail, the all-new T33 X-Trail takes a more rugged and muscular approach. Although the all-new T33 X-Trail is built on the same CMF-CD platform like the outgoing T32-generation model, you can’t tell as the exterior has been completely revampe

The Honda HR-V became a surprise success in Malaysia when it debuted in 2015 when the B-segment SUV market was fairly new. However, the SUV is beginning to show its age and is due for a replacement. While waiting for the all-new HR-V to make its debut, we came across yet another spyshot of the next-gen crossover online. Spotted by the Japanese media, we can assume that the next-gen HR-V will sport a sharper and more angular design in favour of a more elegant look. It also appears that the black

You’re not reading the headline wrongly. The Ford Ranger is indeed the best-selling car in Vietnam for the month of March with 2,171 units sold. That is slightly more than the second best-seller, the Hyundai Accent (2,094 units). In fact, the Ford Ranger has been dominating pick-up sales in the country so far with a combined total of 3,873 units sold during the first 3 months of 2021. March was definitely a month of madness for the Blue Oval as the Ranger took nearly 75% market share in the pick
