If the meter cluster showing a check indicator telling the fog lamp is faulty while driving and the fog lamp is not light up, likely you are facing fog lamp malfunction. This is probably cause by:
1. Natural aging causing light bulb broken.
2. Electronic control information error or the electronic component faulty causing over voltage which fused the bulb.
3. It might also due to the wiring is aged or the socket corroded causing poor connection which lead to the faulty.
Suggest to repair at workshop as soon as possible.
1. Check if there is check light or error message in the meter cluster, identify the malfunction item.
2. Take out the fog lamp bulb and check if it is broken.
3. Visual check or use the multimeter to check if the wiring harness has any abnormality, break, short circuit, corroded or poor connection.
4. Based on the inspection outcome, replace the bulb or the wiring harness.
5. If the wiring aged is not severe, might not need to replace the wiring harness but repair with soldering.
