1. If your car suffering weak acceleration, unstable idling, abnormal noise when the gas pedal retract, it might be due to gas pedal mechanism is faulty. Suggest to diagnose at the workshop.
2. Electronic gas pedal is use in drive-by-wire system, it works in a way that the pedal position sensor send signal to the ECU, ECU calculate the best throttle body opening angle based on info such as current driving speed, throttle body opening angle and engine RPM speed. If the pedal position sensor is faulty, it might cause the "EPS" indicator light up, engine raise the speed slower under hard acceleration. In sever condition it will cause unstable idling , delayed or no response when pressing the gas pedal causing the car unable to drive. Suggest to diagnose at workshop or call for roadside assist if the car is unable to move.
3. Gas pedal is a mechanical part hence it will produce abnormal noise if it is faulty. If the return spring is faulty, the pedal will not retract when pressed. Normally the pedal will not spoil and most of the time is the pedal sensor faulty.
Suggest to diagnose at workshop, usually the keypoints of diagnose are:
1.Dismantle the gas pedal assembly, locate the corresponding wire from the sensor, use an ompedance multimeter to check the circuit if it is faulty.
2. Check the gas pedal sensor wiring if it is open circuit or poor contact, replace the wiring if faulty.
