Toyota Corolla Cross Overview The 2021 Toyota Corolla Cross is the latest compact crossover SUV to join UMW Toyota Motor’s vehicle line up in Malaysia. Making its Malaysian debut in March 2021, it is based on Toyota’s highly rated TNGA-C platform. It is the first TNGA-based Toyota to be assembled inMalaysia. There're three variants, the 1.8 G, 1.8 V and the Corolla CrossHybrid. Price starts from RM 130,400 for the base 1.8 G, RM 137,400,for the 1.8 V and RM 142,00 for the Corolla Cross Hybrid. Launched in August 2024, the 2025 Proton X70 facelift ( internally as the MC2) starts at RM 98,800, retaining the previous pricing despite adding more value-added features. Proton follows an American-style model year format, so models released in Q4 are marketed for the next calendar year. Highlighting the updates, the new X70 is now quieter and more fuel-efficient. It also features an upgraded infotainment system with support for Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay Two variants were discontinued from (the MC1) before it: the 1.5L TGDi Executive AWD and the older 1.8L TGDi Premium. Elsewhere, the Flagship and Flagship X variants also come with advanced safety features through a complete Level 2 ADAS suite now thanks to newer features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop&Go, Lane Centering Control and Lane Departure Prevention, amongst others.
