Engine

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. In the E200 Avantgarde, outputs are 197 PS/320 Nm. Meanwhile, the engine displacing the same 2.0 litres in the E300 AMG Line makes 258 PS/370 Nm. There is no electric assistance/hybrid to the engines.

Transmission

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Chassis

Both variants of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes with the Agility Control passive-adaptive damping that submissively adjusts to the road conditions. There is no manual control of the damping firmness.

Drivetrain

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. There is no option of a 4Matic all-wheel drive with a four-cylinder engine Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Malaysia.

    Mercedes-Benz E-Class – Overview

    Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has finally launched the facelifted 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, now narrowed down to just two variants with a regular combustion engine. The Plug-in hybrid model is ‘not available yet’ and could return given improvements in the incentives for auto assemblers.

    For the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift range, two variants are on offer – E200 Avantgarde and E300 AMG Line, priced at RM 326,943 and RM 375,432 respectively, and locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang. This price range puts it in direct competition with the usual suspects BMW 5 Series, Lexus ES, Volvo S90 and Jaguar XF.
