The Maxus T60 is a Chinese-built pickup truck from the Chinese manufacturer SAIC. The Maxus T60 is the very first pickup truck that SAIC has ever made with the intention of the global market. The earlier Maxus T60 was powered with a 1.8 litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Maxus T60 is a budget friendly pickup truck and is now powered with a 2.8 litre turbodiesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission variant and a manual transmission variant. In Malaysia however, Weststar Maxus has announced that only the automatic transmission variant will make it to Malaysia. Priced at 99,000 MYR, the Maxus T60’s closest rival is the Isuzu D-MAX 2019 1.9L 4X4 AT Type-B.

On the outside, the Maxus T60 looks somehow muscular with a huge chrome front grill with LED projectors, LED DRLs and halogen fog lamps. The Maxus T60 comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and has a ground clearance of 215 mm. Step boards and roof rails are also included. The Maxus T60 has a weight of 1,950 kg.

Interior

Inside the Maxus T60, the dash board are mostly made of hard plastic. The seats and the side panels are wrapped with leather with red stitching. The driver gets a 6 way power adjustable seat. The multifunctional steering wheel is also wrapped with leather and has controls over the audio, cruise control and etc. The overall interior design of the Maxus T60 is somehow more towards utility over luxury. The Maxus T60 is a pickup truck after all.
