The all-new sixth-generation 2024 Subaru Forester has been unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Now, let’s take a side-by-side look at the 2024 Subaru Forester and its predecessor. Like before, the Forester maintains the Subaru Global Platform (SGP) albeit with a 10 percent increase in torsional rigidity achieved through robust welding techniques and additional structural adhesive. At the front, the Forester sports a more imposing appearance with prominent gloss black panels framing a larger g
Sometimes 2+2=4 but in the case of Toyota’s chairman Akio Toyoda ripping some donuts in a Subaru WRX STI rally car, it’s more like 1+1=3. No, we didn’t forget how to use our abacus as Best Car Web shared this interesting story. You see, Toyota and Subaru got into bed a long time ago and the love child from that rendezvous was the Toyobaru twins, the Toyota GT86 and the Subaru BRZ. Since then, their relationship has only deepened with the new generation of the GR86 and the new BRZ twin as well as
The first Toyobaru twin, the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ are probably the best sports cars for beginners. While it has only been 2 years since the second generation was introduced, Toyota is rumoured to have already started development of the next generation but without the help of Subaru. Japanese automotive publication, Best Car Web reported that the next generation of the GR86 could be utilising the turbocharged 1.6-litre 3-cylinder engine as seen in the GR Corolla and GR Yaris. While the two

Checks with Subaru dealers revealed that the updated 2024 Subaru BRZ is set to arrive in Malaysia, accompanied by a price increase of up to RM 20k. Currently, the Subaru BRZ is available in Malaysia at a starting price of RM 249,245 for the 6-speed manual variant and RM 259,245 for the 6-speed automatic version. The manual version is
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has revealed that Subaru is eyeing a comeback to the World Rally Championship (WRC), with the backing of Toyota. Addressing reporters at a media roundtable during the Acropolis Rally Greece 2023, Ben Sulayem spoke about his conversation with Toyota's chairman Akio Toyoda. He expressed that during their conversation about attracting more manufacturers to the WRC, Akio Toyoda passionately mentioned Subaru. Toyota owns a stake in Subaru and is keen on supporting S
Considered a bit of an underdog compared to its richer and more popular Japanese peers, Subaru is turning 70 in 2023. Even though it was established in 1953 as Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., the origins of Subaru began in 1917. A century after the company first took off (this pun will eventually make sense), Fuji Heavy Industries renamed itself Subaru Corporation. However, before it became known more as a carmaker, Subaru started off in the aircraft industry. 1917-53: A flying start Cikuhei Nakajim
