Exterior
Exterior – New face with DRLs
The 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift gets a new front fascia with a redesigned front bumper that incorporates DRLs (for 1.5 H and 1.5 AV) at the sides. The front grille has been enlarged and the headlamps have been redesigned as well.
From the side, it looks largely similar compared to before, save for the gloss black side mirror caps. The dual-tone 15-inch wheels are carried over, wrapped with 185/55 R15 profile tyres.
Over to the rear, the bumper gets a similar motif as the front, with vertical slats at the sides that are purely for cosmetic purpose.
Interior
Interior – The current trend is red accents
Changes on the inside are more subtle; there’s a new steering wheel that’s lifted off the Perodua Ativa albeit with rearranged button configuration, a larger infotainment system (6.9-inch vs 6.2-inch from before) that has the same user interface as the Ativa’s, new instrument cluster, and revised gear shift pattern.
For the range-topping AV variant, there are red accents around the air vents and on the seats. Speaking of seats, the materials are new, which means new leather for the AV variant and new fabrics for the lower rung variants.
Features
New features
For the 1.5-litre variants, there’s a power mode switch on the steering wheel that sharpens up the powertrain. Perodua says the power mode “gives you access to the full range of engine power.” There’s also auto folding side mirrors and welcoming light.
Standard across all variants is auto door lock, which is triggered by the brakes or when the car exceeds 20 km/h.
Safety – Upgraded ADAS
The range-topping AV variant of the 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift gets an upgraded suite of ADAS, called the Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA). Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) is now under the umbrella of PSDA.
Also read: Upgraded PSDA ADAS suite for the new 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift. What is PSDA?

PSDA comprises of four assist features – the aforementioned ASA, Driving Assist, Parking Assist, and Headlamp Assist. Perodua says this enables Level 2 semi-autonomous driving.
As before, ASA includes Pre-Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, Front Departure Alert, and Pedal Misoperation Control.
Driving Assist bundles Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Control (LKC), and Blind Spot Monitor (BSM).
Parking Assist packages front and rear corner sensors, reverse camera, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) while Headlamp Assist only includes Auto High Beam (AHB).

Lower rung variants (1.3 G, 1.5 X, 1.5 H) get ASA with LDW and LDP, while the entry 1.3 G version does without ADAS.
Powertrain
Powertrain – Goodbye 4AT, hello CVT
As reported earlier, the manual transmission option has been dropped, while the 4-speed automatic transmission has been replaced by the newer D-CVT (short for Dual-mode CVT) unit. The engines, however, remain as before with a 1.3-litre 1NR-VE (95 PS/121 Nm) and a 1.5-litre 2NR-VE (103 PS/137 Nm).

Driving Performance
Engine Performance
Perodua has done what they can to smoothen the Myvi's driving experience as much as possible. The Myvi now handles high speeds without any complains better than previously.
Transmission Performance
The 4-speed automatic gearbox in the Myvi is a smooth unit that performs perfectly well with demanding city traffic.
Steering and Handling
The Myvi's steering is weighted just right, not too heavy so its easy to manoeuvre around tight spaces in the city or too heavy that it would make highway cruising uncomfortable.
Ride Comfort
Sound Proofing
It doesn't have the quietest interior but Perodua has made some efforts to cut down exterior noise like the use of acoustic windshields on the higher variants.
Passenger Comfort
The Myvi doesn't have the softest ride, instead, the car jars badly when going through sharp bumps. But passengers are still largely comfortable with all the Myvi has to offer in terms of in-car entertainment and interior ambience.
Conclusion
The Perodua Myvi is already the crowd favourite since its launch, but the third generation has knocked the competition out of the ball park. Sure, the car has its faults, but Perodua has done what they can to make the car safer and more modern than it has ever been before. (Perodua Myvi vs Proton Iriz; what are the differences?)

Perodua Myvi User Reviews

LED headlights are cool
I can't believe they still equip 4-speed AT for Myvi
Yes, Perodua Myvi is a small hatchback but it surprised me with its well-loaded safety features. I feel quite safe when I drive it. And the cabin is quite spacious for such a small hatchback.
The only thing that I feel unsatisfying is its steering feedback. I cannot feel anything when at high speed runs.
