Design

The big comby-shape front grille makes the car look bigger and more rugged. Also, you may notice that Santa Fe’s headlamps are very slim but the fog lights are pretty big and this design is very rare for a vehicle like this, but it doesn't make it look ugly.

Engine

Both executive and premium offer a Theta II 2.4 MPI petrol engine and an R 2.2 CRDi diesel engine. The petrol engine can produce 172ps @ 6000rpm and 225Nm @ 4000rpm while the diesel one is 193ps @ 3800rpm and 440Nm @ 1750-2750rpm.

Transmission

Hyundai has provided a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission for the petrol version and the diesel engine is 8-Speed Automatic Transmission.

Drive System

The petrol variant is front-wheel-drive while the diesel one is four-wheel-drive.

Acceleration

This is a nearly two-ton SUV, for the petrol version, its acceleration is really gentle and the diesel is better.

Engine Performance

Such powertrain parameters are not so outstanding today but you can feel the engine is working hard to push itself. If you are looking for performance, you better choose the diesel.
