“Who is to pay for the repairs?” This was the biggest question in the minds of 8 car owners who returned to their cars and discovered someone had broken their windscreens. The incident happened in the parking lot of the Kota Damansara Driving Range on Tuesday night.
Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Supt Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood told the media that the owners of all 8 cars have made a police report regarding the incident.
Unfortunately, initial investigations have revealed there are no CCTV cameras in the area where the cars were parked nor were there any security guards on duty.
As no personal items were reported stolen, the police suspect it was an act of vandalism.
At the moment, PDRM still has no details of a possible suspect as there were no witnesses. However, efforts are still being carried out to find clues.
The case will be investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for treason.
On a separate note, the deputy clarifies the vandalism of 8 cars is not connected to an earlier report involving 2 motorcyclists that also happened in Kota Damansara.
