Honda Malaysia has garnered 1,200 bookings since order books opened for the 2022 Honda Civic FE, proving that price increases have had little effect on demand for Honda's seminal sporty sedan.
Breaking down that number, 20 percent of buyers have chosen to go for the Civic 1.5 E, 30 percent have booked the range-topping Civic 1.5 RS, whilst the 1.5 V gets the majority of bookings at 50 percent.
Honda Malaysia aims for a monthly sales target of 900 units.
Launched yesterday, the 2022 Civic FE is available in three variants, priced as follows:
2022 Honda Civic (FE) price in Malaysia
Variant
Price
1.5 E
RM 125,634.64
1.5 V
RM 138,043.36
1.5 RS
RM 144,350.09

These numbers are notably higher than the preceding Civic FC, which started from RM 109,327 (1.8 S) to RM 125,081 (1.5 TC) before topping out at RM 134,661 (1.5 TC-P).
The middle-child 2022 Civic 1.5 V notably adds 17-inch wheels, a 9-inch infotainment system, paddle shifters and the Drive mode selector.
Its main rival the Toyota Corolla Altis still holds a price advantage over the Civic, as prices for that model start from RM 123,972 (1.8 G) and RM134,505 (1.8 V).
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
