The second-generation 2024 Citroën C3 Aircross has officially been launched in Indonesia, as the brand's first seven-seater. Prices for the C3 Aircross start from IDR 290 million (~RM 86k), or IDR 295 million (~RM 88k) for customers opting for dual-tone colourways.
Despite its capability to seat seven people in a 5+2 arrangement, the C3 Aircross is closer in dimensions to a Honda HR-V / Toyota Corolla Cross, rather than a BR-V. It measures 4,323 mm long, 1,796 mm wide, and 1,669 mm tall, all fit on a 2,671 mm wheelbase.
Most of it is down to the packaging ingenuity – the third row seats are fully detachable to make more room for second row occupants, or to just grow the boot space to 511 litres.
Save for a 17.7-inch digital instrument cluster as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity through its 10.25-inch infotainment, the interior of the C3 Aircross is relatively simple – no digital air-cond controls here, but buyers do get a blower by the roof for the second or third-row occupants.
On the outside it is par for the course, with the exterior adorned by LED lighting on the front and back, 17-inch wheels, and the typical flair one would expect from the French.
Under the hood is a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that makes 110 PS and 205 Nm. It's front-wheel drive (FWD), and is linked to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Interestingly, Citroën Indonesia is offering the first 500 early bird buyers free fuel for one year worth roughly RM 3k! Other than that it gets the usual slew of aftersales goodies; 3-year/100k km warranty, and 4-year/50k km free servicing.
Citroën C3 Aircross in Malaysia
At one time, Malaysia also also sold the C3 Aircross albeit in first generation form. It wasn't here for a long time, having launched in 2019 and was discontinued in 2021 when distributorship for the brand changed from Naza to Berjaya Auto Alliance Sdn. Bhd. (BAASB), during which Citroën left Malaysia.
As of 1-March 2024 though, Stellantis has started business in Malaysia, and have signalled intentions to re-launch a few of the brands under the group's umbrella in our country. Among them is Citroën for the mass market segment, and the C3 was spied here a few times.
