[WapCar] Hill-start Assist ControL (HAC) is a device that holds the brake until the clutch is at the friction point, making it easier to start up hill from stationary in manual transmission and automatic transmission automobiles. It allows the vehicle to start on a slope without the handbrake without slipping. The car can continue to brake for a few seconds after the driver's right foot leaves the brake pedal with. Then the driver can easily turn his foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal, avoiding the trouble of using the parking brake to go uphill and making the driver feel rushed.
Starting conditions of the uphill assist system:
1. The gear lever is not in the P position (automatic gear models) and do not step on the accelerator pedal;
2. The vehicle needs to be at a standstill;
3. The operator did not turn on the hand brake (foot brake or electronic brake).
When these conditions are met, the uphill assist system will start after the driver removes his foot from the brake pedal; in some vehicles, the uphill assist system will only start automatically after the operator has stepped on the brake pedal. In addition, the system also works in reversing on a slope.
