Perodua is set to increase its exports by 79% in 2024, with Brunei marking its initial expansion into foreign markets this year. From 1, 094 units in 2023, the company aims to export 1,960 units in 2024, reflecting its ambition to diversify its global presence.
On 3-May 2024, Perodua introduced the Alza along with the Axia to Brunei, targeting sales of 120 and 40 units respectively. Additionally, the Bezza 1.0L G will be exported to Brunei with a sales goal of 300 units, bringing the total expected sales in Brunei for 2024 to 460 units.
In 2023, Perodua's highest export market was Brunei, with 300 units of the Bezza 1.0L G sold.

Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, President and Chief Executive Officer of Perodua, expressed optimism about 2024 being the inaugural year of their export expansion. “We foresee 2024 to be our first year of our export expansion as we are now at a point where the Malaysian automotive ecosystem would be able to cope with the ever-growing demand of our vehicles both within and outside the country,” he said.

Anticipating sustained export growth, Dato’ Sri Zainal highlighted plans for aggressive expansion of operations and production capabilities of vendors. The expansion into Brunei marks a strategic move without compromising domestic vehicle allocation, while reducing waiting periods for popular models and ensuring ready stock availability for selected ones.
“Brunei is the first export market we are expanding to without compromising domestic allocation of our vehicles. In fact, we have significantly reduced the waiting period for most of our popular models and even have ready stock for selected models. In addition, our targeted increase in exports will also give greater opportunities for our vendors to grow their sales volume in tandem with the need for spare parts,” Dato’ Sri Zainal said.

- Axia G - B$ 17,900 (~RM 63k)
- Axia AV - B$ 21,900 (~RM 79k)
