Since 25 April 2021, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has received 19,090 requests to travel across states and districts from Malaysians. As many as 465 requests were rejected due to the ridiculous excuse given for their reason to travel interstate.
Amongst the excuses given that were rejected include wanting to head home for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and missing family members.

Utusan Malaysia reports that these submitters admitted that they clearly knew the reason for the travel ban but still insisted on crossing states.
From now on, PDRM will not be tolerating any unreasonable requests to travel interstate or district. Instead, they will issue a compound immediately.
