After yesterday's 2021 Genesis GV80 and Hyundai Palisade spyshots, here comes another one from the premium Korean marque - the Genesis G80.
Careta's sole post says that this particular model is equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine, good for 380 PS and 530 Nm. Also, this is specified with the optional all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrain (regular ones are rear-wheel drive), and power is sent via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Much like its taller-riding GV80 sibling, it's opulent luxury everywhere else in the G80: heated and ventilated leather seats all-around, a digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system are all standard fitments.
Other smart features in the G80 include the AI-enabled Smart Cruise Control system that's able to learn the driver's driving characteristics and thereby adapts how the system accelerates and brakes.
There's the 'Road Preview' adaptive suspension system too, a system that scans the road ahead and adjusts damping accordingly to reduce discomfort. Proper smart stuff.

Like the GV80, it's a bit too premature to read too much into them at this point. The last time the marque was here, not many cars found new owners. Plus, no plans have been made public about the brand's reintroduction in Malaysia, so this may just be an internal use car.
