The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has arrested four drivers aged between 24 to 34 for not just racing but driving against traffic on Kesas Highway at midnight.
According to Sinar Harian, PDRM first came across the two Nissan GT-Rs, BMW M6, and Mercedes-AMG A45 in separate moments.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) deputy director Datuk Mohd Nadzri Hussain recounted that the PDRM team first spotted two Nissan GT-R racing against traffic at 11.20 pm.
At 11.50 pm, the BMW M6 and Mercedes-AMG A45 were seen doing the same before exiting into the Awan Besar rest stop (R&R) heading towards Klang.
When PDRM arrived at the R&R at 12.30 pm, they found the group gathered in the parking lot. Officers arrested all four drivers immediately.
The suspects were brought to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police Station for further investigations. PDRM is investigating the incident under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
