A little over a year ago, the all-new 2022 Subaru BRZ was globally unveiled, carrying on the traditional sports car formula with a front-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive layout, low weight, and low centre of gravity.
Checks with our sources revealed that the all-new 2022 Subaru BRZ is estimated to arrive in Malaysia sometime in May 2022, with prices starting from RM 229,245 for the 6-speed manual variant to RM 239,245 for the 6-speed automatic variant.
The 6-speed automatic variant gets Subaru’s EyeSight ADAS system along with Reverse Automatic Braking.
Previously, the first-generation Subaru BRZ facelift was priced from RM 224k to RM 230k at launch.
Standard equipment for both variants of the all-new 2022 Subaru BRZ will include 18-inch wheels, Torsen Limited Slip Differential, and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
Power comes from a 2.4-litre boxer engine that makes 235 PS/250 Nm (based on Japanese specifications), mated to the aforementioned 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, going to the rear wheels.
0-100 km/h acceleration time is rated at 6.3 seconds for the manual and 6.8 seconds for the automatic.
