Come 2022 and yet another Chinese marque will be available in Malaysia. This time around, it's Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd, (GAC Motor)'s turn to land here.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (TCMH) will set up a new subsidiary to represent GAC Motor, not Angka-Tan or Edaran Tan Chong Motors, which distributes JMC and Nissan vehicles, respectively.
Recall that back in December 2020, TCMH signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GAC to evaluate the possibility of TCMH distributing GAC Motor vehicles in Malaysia and Vietnam.

Now, GAC’s product portfolio doesn’t stop at SUVs. The company also offers some stylish MPVs and sedans in China, including the GAC GM6 MPV and GA8 sedan.
