Hot off the viral video where a police outrider stopped an ambulance to allow the Prime Minister’s convoy to pass just a week ago, another case has emerged on social media.
This time, instead of a junction, the incident took place on a busy highway. Police escort stopped all traffic along a congested highway to allow a white Toyota Alphard through. An ambulance with its beacon on can be seen in the distance in the video.
The incident is believed to have happened along the KL-Seremban highway heading towards the city centre.
In the previous incident that happened in Hulu Langat, the police Traffic Enforcement and Investigative team (JSPT) released a statement explaining that the outrider decided to stop the Red Cross ambulance and its accompanying 4x4 to allow the PM’s convoy priority as it was the safest course of action at that time.
We wonder what explanation would JSPT give this time, now that this incident happened on a highway. Or perhaps, no explanation at all.
