The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is investigating a viral video where a man in a silver Proton Persona is seen showing off a pair of handcuffs while driving dangerously.
In the two-minute video, the Persona was first seen attempting to cut dangerously into the path of the car with the dashcam before driving ahead while brandishing his handcuffs out the window.
Furthermore, the Persona can be clearly seen provoking the car with the dashcam for not allowing him to pass by driving slowly and brake checking his car.
The video is believed to have happened along Jalan Yew before joining Jalan Tun Razak. Since it was uploaded on Facebook at 3.50 pm yesterday (13-February-2022), the video has since been viewed 8,400 times and garnered 174 comments from social media users.
Thanks to the many social media users who tagged PDRM’s main Facebook page, the incident has caught the attention of the police and an investigation is now underway to trace the driver of the Persona.
As of yet, it is not known if the Persona driver is a law enforcement officer or just a civilian. PDRM has also yet to find out why the individual is in ownership of a pair of handcuffs.
Stay tuned for more updates on the case.
