Parliament is in session and during yesterday’s sitting, Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong was in attendance to present the various ongoing mega transport projects the ministry has planned.
However, during his pitch to the Dewan Rakyat, Wee was unexpectedly cut off by a snarky remark by opposition leader Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim asking him to repair the out-of-service escalators first.
The poor maintenance of LRT and MRT facilities has been a huge talking point amongst Malaysians for months.
Especially after MUDA Federal Territories Chairman Taufiq Zarak questioned why the repair works for the broken escalator at the Sri Rampai LRT station were contracted to a clothing company.
