Continental Ultra Contact 7 launched - From 15-18 inch sizes for passenger cars and MPVs

With the introduction of the UltraContact UC7, Continental Tyres has the first of its 'Generation 7' products in Malaysia. The UltraContact UC7 tyre prioritizes safety, increased noise comfort and durability.

Dalibor Kalina, Head of Continental's BA Replacement Tires Asia Pacific adds, "The specific needs and driving habits of consumers are constantly evolving, and Continental Tyres is committed to bringing continuous innovations that meet those changing needs,"

In comparison to its predecessor, the UltraContact UC6, the UltraContact UC7 achieves significant improvements in wet grip, fuel efficiency, braking, and handling performance courtesy of the Diamond Compound, Noise Breaker 3.0 and Aqua Channel Advanced features.

The UltraContact UC7’s improved wet performance comes from shorter braking distance and outstanding grip on wet slippery roads, thanks to the Aqua Channel Advanced surface sipes on the centre part of the pattern which efficiently evacuate water to reduce the risk of hydroplaning.

Continental's Noise Breaker 3.0, on the other hand, interrupts sound waves by disrupting the homogeneity of the grooves. The sound waves are broken up and dissipated into smaller waves, preventing noise from building up and travelling into the cabin of the car.

Finally, the UltraContact UC7’s Diamond Compound optimised polymer network provides wear resistance and enhances the transformation of kinetic energy into heat at optimum levels, resulting in shorter braking distances even on wet roads.

The UltraContact UC7 is available from 15-inch to 18-inch tyre sizes, designed for a wide range of compact and mid-size cars, MPVs, and luxury sedans.
