Perodua's Q3 2022 quarter-on-quarter sales performance up 5% as supply chain improves, 69,011 units sold

Perodua's 3Q22 sales was up by 5% to 69,011 units as compared with 65,719 units registered in the second quarter of 2022 as the automotive supply chain continues to improve.

“The increase in registration in this quarter (3Q22), shows that most of the major issues within the automotive supply chain has normalised. It is now time to further improve on production as we need to reduce the waiting period for our valued customers,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.

On a quarter-to-quarter comparison, vehicle registration jumped by 216.5% as a lockdown was imposed between June and mid-August last year on nearly all economic activities in the country to curb the increase in Covid-19 cases.
