Your next BYD, Hyundai, or Polestar will be a cybercafe on wheels, courtesy of Nvidia

What's your idea of future cars? Nvidia says they'll pivot to become living spaces, so obviously gaming in them should be a pivotal part of vehicle ownership, powertrain discussions aside.

At least that's the bigger idea behind the Californian company's latest innovation, bringing their GeForce Now cloud gaming service to cars. No special equipment needed, you can stream games and more through the car's infotainment system.

GeForce Now is a game-streaming service which enables you to take most games on-the-go, and this means there's a library of over 1,500 games. Drivers and front seat passengers can only play while the cars are parked or charging, while those sitting at the back can play anytime on the road

The first carmakers to get this system will be BYD, Hyundai, and Polestar, all of which are already part of the Nvidia Drive Ecosystem in one way or the other.

BYD's next-gen EVs will use Nvidia's Drive Hyperion autonomous vehicle platform, while the Polestar 3's various software will be running off Nvidia's Drive Orin chip.

Nvidia's software suite and hardware suite for electric vehicles aid in the processing and subsequent display of various vehicle data, personalised comfort features, as well as aid in the development of autonomous driving systems.
