Overview
This is the new 2019 Hyundai Elantra and its new in more ways than one. It has brand-new exteriors, a lot of updates of interiors with new features and a nice petrol engine. Hyundai has designed a vehicle which was bold, stylish and even a little bit radical. How would it perform compared with Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic?

The front seats are very comfortable and soft, they look premium and the driver seat has electric adjustment. And the slope design of the rear roof makes you need to bend to get in the car.

Powertrain
Engine
Compared with the 2018 variant, the 2019 Elantra only has one version. It gets a Nu 2.0 MPi engine which can produce a max power of 152ps @ 6200rpm and a max torque of 192Nm @ 4000rpm.
Transmission
The Nu 2.0 MPi engine is mated with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Drive System
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra is a front-wheel-drive sedan.
Driving Performance
The required rev to reach the top torque is 4000rpm, which is very high compared with many cars and this means it can’t give you a quick start.
Engine Performance
The power of the engine is acceptable but the max torque rev is bad, you can feel its strength until you drive at 4000rpm, which causes you more fuel than other vehicles.
Transmission Performance
With the six-speed automatic gearbox, the Elantra makes you feel so flexible and the delivery of the power is so linear, which may not suitable for those who want a sudden acceleration.
Steering and Handling
The Elantra is made for the family so its handling and driving are very comfortable but not sporty, which it shouldn’t be proud of. Driving the Elantra can give you easiness and comfort and Elantra offers different driving modes to improve your ride quality.
Ride Comfort
Sound Proofing
This car is mainly for family or daily use so it pays attention to the noise insulation and Elantra has done a good job.
Passenger Comfort
Hyundai Elantra has provided good comfort for the passenger so you can enjoy a travel in the car and expectedly, the suspension can absorb the jounce well.
Fuel Consumption
Fuel Consumption
The mileage of the Hyundai Elantra is estimated at about 7.04l/100km.
Conclusion
Hyundai went back with a more conservative appearance. The sixth-gen Elantra didn't challenge the status quo like its predecessor, but it wasn't boring, either. Obviously, Hyundai thought in a different way, as it completely reinvented the exterior for the model and the look is now more aggressive than before.
