Authorities in Utah, USA, encountered an unusual situation last week when they pulled over a car driven by a 5-year-old on the freeway. The boy claims to be on his way to California to buy a Lamborghini.
Upon further questioning, it was revealed that the boy had left the house after his mother refused to purchase him a Lamborghini. The parents were reportedly at work when the boy drove off in their car.
The traffic enforcer had initially pulled over the car thinking that it was driven by an impaired driver only to discover the 5-year-old in the driver seat. The boy’s parents arrived at the scene immediately after they were informed of the situation.
Authorities estimated that the boy had driven at least 3 km before being pulled over. His family also told authorities that he had no driving experience prior to the incident. The troopers also quipped that the boy might be short on cash to purchase the Lamborghini since he only had $3 (RM 12.93) in his pocket.
While it is horrific to hear that a 5-year-old boy had actually driven a car out onto a busy freeway and the dangers he was faced, but we can’t help but marvel that the boy managed to make it without causing an accident or even damaging the car before he was pulled over.
