This 1-seater Citroen My Ami Cargo is probably the future of LalaMove

This cute little electric vehicle (EV) is Citroen’s latest representative in their EV charge. Known as the Citroen My Ami Cargo, the little Wall-E resembling vehicle seats only one person while the space next to the driver is used for cargo storage instead of fitting another passenger.

Yes, the boot is located next to the driver instead of the back! Citroen claims the My Ami Cargo has a capacity of 400 litres and the boot space is properly separated from the driver so nothing lose will roll into the driver’s way.

The Ami measures only 2,410 x 1,390 x 1,520 mm in length, width, and height, which makes it even smaller than the equally adorable Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV! The Ami Cargo also has a turning radius of 3.6 m, this makes the tiny vehicle perfect for manoeuvring around the city.

Powering the Ami is an 8.2 PS electric motor hooked up to a 5.5 kWh battery. The EV is capable of a top speed of 45 km/h. Hence Citroen markets the EV as suitable for drivers aged 14 years and below.

Citroen claims the My Ami Cargo’s battery is good for 75 km on a full charge, the company reasons that a 75 km range is just enough for getting around the city. The battery takes 3 hours to fully charge with a 220 V socket.

Although there aren’t any safety features to name for now, Citroen did emphasise that despite how basic the EV looks it’s pretty smart.

Owners can connect the EV to their devices to keep track of various information like distance range, battery status, remaining charging time, and maintenance schedule.

This or the Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV? We’re totally torn!
