In a Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) report that was sighted by WapCar.my, July 2021 was supposed to see the Malaysia launch of the facelifted locally-assembled (CKD) 2021 Peugeot 3008.
Well, it's July 2021 now and it's plain to see that the countrywide lockdown has delayed Bermaz Auto's (BAuto) plans. As of now, there's no set timeline for the revised launch yet.
According to the Maybank IB report, BAuto was looking to launch the facelifted Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models to kick start the brand in Malaysia again, along with the smaller all-new Peugeot 2008 model.

The report added that BAuto was also working towards a target of 1.5k - 1.8k units sales for Financial Year 2022. As of now, nobody is sure if that target still remains with the continued delays of its model launches.
In the pre-facelift model, the 3008 was powered by a 1.6-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (167 PS, 240 Nm) paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It'd be quite surprising if the facelift doesn't continue in this vein.
More interestingly, the same Maybank IB report shares that an EV version of the facelifted Peugeot 3008 could well make it into our shores, subject to Malaysia's EV policy, which is expected to be announced later this month.

Pricing of the pre-facelift 3008 stood at RM142,888. Again, factoring in local assembly (in Gurun, Kedah), the pricing of the facelifted models should not deviate a lot from earlier.
But of course, to find out, we'd need BAuto to launch the car first, which obviously is a rather difficult thing to do now.
