Peugeot 5008 SUV Plus Is Now Even More Luxurious, 2 variants from RM 166,888

Launched alongside the Peugeot 3008 SUV is the locally assembled Peugeot 5008 SUV – essentially a 7-seater version of the 3008. Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia has also introduced an entry-level variant with prices now starting from RM 166,888 for the Peugeot 5008 Active SUV Plus. 

As for the range-topping Peugeot 5008 Allure SUV Plus, have gone up by RM 7,000 despite being assembled at Naza Auto Manufacturing plant in Gurun. The upside is that the company has added more features to the 5008.

Riding on the same EMP2 platform like the 3008, the 5008 also features the 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder THP petrol engine that develops 167 PS and 240 Nm of torque. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. Century sprint takes 8.9 seconds while top speed is registered at 205 km/h.

Separating the Active from the Allure variant are the halogen projector units on the Active and full LED forward illumination with sequential turn signals on the Allure. Both variants ride on the 18-inch “Los Angeles” alloy wheels while roof rails, front parking sensors and a powered tailgate are reserved for the Allure.

The 5008 comes equipped with Premium Black Claudio leather upholstery, powered front seats, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, upgraded 8.0-inch “i-Cockpit Amplified” touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play, reverse camera, paddle shifters and electronic parking brake. Only the range-topping Allure gets additional built-in navigation and a panoramic sunroof.

As standard, the 5008 CKD features 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Driver Attention Alert I.Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring System, Speed Limit Information with Adaptation and Driver Attention Alert III are reserved for the 5008 CKD.
