Peugeot 5008

Launched alongside the Peugeot 3008 SUV is the locally assembled Peugeot 5008 Malaysia SUV – essentially a 7-seater version of the 3008. Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia has also introduced an entry-level variant with prices now starting from RM 166,888 for the 2019 Peugeot 5008 Malaysia Active SUV Plus. And the price for 2018 Peugeot 5008 Malaysia THP Allure variant is RM 172, 888.

As for the range-topping 2019 Peugeot 5008 Malaysia Allure SUV Plus, it has gone up by RM 13,000 despite being assembled at Naza Auto Manufacturing plant in Gurun. The upside is that the company has added more features to the Peugeot 5008 Malaysia.

Peugeot 5008 Malaysia is now competing against its main rivals, such as Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, Nissan X-Trail, and Kia Sportage.

Design

The design of Peugeot 5008 Malaysia is based on the same EMP2 platform like the Peugeot 3008 Malaysia. It is crafted and designed to be impressive. Both Allure and Active variants get the Auto Headlamps with the Daytime Running Lights, Front & Rear Fog lamps and Interior lighting (Map Lights and Ambient Lights). The Allure version gets the Halogen Reflector headlamps while the Active version gets the Full LED headlights. And both variants are equipped with the LED Combination Tail lamps.

Wheels

Both the Allure and Active variants ride on the 18-inch “Los Angeles” alloy wheels wrapped around the 225/55R18 Front & Rear tyres with the Space Saver Spare tyres.

Dashboard

The dashboard layout of Peugeot 5008 Malaysia is quite stylish, with the AC vents placed beneath the screen, and the lined up physical buttons. The C-shaped line around the transmission looks quite fashion. The large 8” capacitive multifunction colour touchscreen with full multimedia connectivity resembles a tablet installed in the centre of the dashboard.

Instrument Cluster

Both variants have the Full LCD Monitor as the instrument cluster. But only the Allure version has the navigation function loaded. The 12.3" digital head-up cluster display can be completely configured and personalized, and brings together all that the driver could want within their field of vision.
