![2024 Peugeot E-5008 to debut with STLA platform, up to 98 kWh battery and 700 km range 01]()
The all-new full-electric Peugeot E-5008 EV is slated to debut later this year, according to the company’s announcement during its E-Lion Day 2024 press event earlier today.
The E-5008 will be one of two new Peugeot EVs to come in 2024, with the other being the E-408. The introduction of the E-5008 will add another model to Peugeot’s growing EV lineup which already includes 7 passenger and 3 commercial EV models. Given its all-new model, Peugeot 5008 ICE and PHEV versions should also be introduced.

The all-new E-5008 is slated to be launched in August 2024 and will be based on the same STLA-Medium platform, the same as its smaller sibling the E-3008. The STLA-M platform is the first of four 'BEV-by-design' platforms (though not limited to just EVs) from the larger Stellantis Group
The STLA medium platform features a 400-volt electric architecture and can house up to a 98 kWh battery which is claimed to offer a best-in-class range of more than 700 km. Elsewhere, the STLA Medium platform can also integrate a rear motor for front- or all-wheel drive applications. Power can range from 217 PS to 387 PS depending on the drivetrain configuration.
The E-3008 for instance, is driven by a 213 PS/343 Nm single electric motor powering the front wheels, juiced by a 73kWh battery that offers a driving range of up to 524 km (according to the WLTP standard).

Closer to home, the current locally-assembled (CKD) Peugeot 5008 Allure is priced at RM 186,288 (OTR excluding insurance).
