First introduced in 2018, the Proton X70 quickly set the benchmark for what consumers could expect from a homegrown SUV. With two substantial updates, the first in 2020 with the introduction of a 7-speed DCT transmission, followed by a significant engine update in 2022 where most variants received the new 1.5-litre TGDI engine, the same as featured on the Proton X50.
