Woman who stole Honda City and crashed into 10 cars and bit captors arrested

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has arrested the woman in the viral video of stealing Honda City and crashing into ten cars.

Wangsa Maju district police chief, Supt Ashari Abu Samah told Harian Metro that the 38-year-old woman was first held captive by the public before she was handed over to police officers at the scene.

Initial investigations revealed that the woman stole the Honda City at a petrol station in front of the Setapak Vocational College along Jalan Genting Klang at around 2.30 pm.

The owner of the car and his wife had parked the car at a petrol station to use the restroom, it is understood that they exited the car without turning off the engine allowing the woman to jump into the car and drive off.

After watching his car drive off, the owner loaned a motorcycle from the petrol station security guard intending to make a police report.

However, he came across the scene at the Setapak Central traffic light where the public has already stopped his car and was holding the thief captive. At that time, the public had already called the police and was waiting to hand over the suspect.

Ashari also told the press that the suspect has at least 14 previous criminal and drug records. She will be investigated under Section 379 A of the Penal Code for theft of a vehicle and Section 279 of the same code for driving dangerously on a public road.

According to the video post, the woman not only crashed into at least ten cars while trying to escape, but she also bit her captors when they managed to remove her from the car.
