Video: The all-new 2022 Lexus NX 350 F Sport raises its price but also raises the bar

Among the premium players, Lexus has always stood out by carving an impression of being better than the rest. True or not, when you’re shelling out that much of money, impressions count and when someone rolls up in a Lexus, you know that they know what class and luxury’s all about. That’s now taken a notch higher with the all-new Lexus NX 350 F Sport.

It’s longer and wider than its predecessor, which explains why it appears much larger… because it is. Of course, that F-Sport spindle grille further accentuates the sharper front end. At the rear, the NX now sports a sleek and distinct light bar design for the taillight.

A cool feature is the E-latch system for the doors. It has a button that pops open the latch effortlessly, making it possible to unlatch the doors with just your pinky finger. On the inside, there’s no physical lever and instead has a button to unlatch the door although there’s a failsafe because it’s Lexus after all.

We’ve touched on the 14-inch infotainment touchscreen that’s touted as the largest in its class. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are present and accounted for while the voice commands make it easier to access functions.

That smooth and silky power delivery is courtesy of a 2.4-litre turbo petrol engine that churns out 275 PS and 430 Nm of torque with an 8-speed automatic dispersing it to all four wheels.

Adaptive suspension; reserved only for the NX 350 F Sport, ensures that the magic carpet ride expected of a Lexus will be balanced out against some sportier cornering to do the F Sport emblem justice.

One thing that stood out with the new NX was its pricing. At RM 389,888, that’s asking a lot more money but also places it against much stiffer competition in the same price bracket.

Nonetheless, being a Lexus, we’re betting that it’ll do the price justice once you get behind the wheel.

If you know, you know… and that pretty much sums up all Lexus owners. It would seem that Adrian is in the know as well after spending some time with the new NX 350 F Sport in the video below.
